New Dynamical Symmetry Breaking in Electroweak Theory

A new dynamical symmetry breaking of SU(2)L ×U(1) caused by the combination of the axial-vector component and the fermion mass is found in electroweak theory. The masses of the W and the Z bosons are obtained to be mW = 1 2g mt and m 2 Z = ρmW/cos θW with ρ ≃ 1. They are in excellent agreement with data. The Fermi constant is determined to be GF = 1 2 √ 2m2t . Two fixed gauge fixing terms for W and Z boson fields are dynamically generated. Massive neutrinos are required.
